The government is in the process of bringing the plastic currency of Rs 10 in these 5 cities


The central government has once again clarified that there is no plan to close the note of 2000 rupees now. The government said in the Lok Sabha that there is no government plan to stop the currency of 2000 rupees after currency notes. The government also said that as per the trial, it has decided to issue plastic currency of Rs 10 in 5 cities. No clarification has been made about when the trial begins.

Union Minister of State for Finance P. Replying to a question in Radhakrishna, he said that there is no plan to stop government note in the near future. Government has said that Rs. 500 and Rs. Note 2000 can be easily identified, for which both the notes have a distance of 10 mm.

In order to promote digital currency, the government has to pay Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 was declared invalid.

Talking about the plastic notes, the minister said, plastic notes of Rs 10 will be brought as a trial in five cities. The trial will take place in Kochi, Mysore, Jaipur and Bhubaneshwar. No timeline has been determined yet about when the trial will begin.
