47 thousand farmers lost their loan

District Magistrate Bhavani Singh Khagrot said that the loan of 213 crores 26 lakh 49 thousand 47714 farmers has been waived in the district. Apart from this, 50 lakh 92 thousand loans of 2098 farmers of District Cooperative Bank Limited have been waived.
He said that under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Rural Jyoti Yojna, there has been a lot of effort to strengthen the power distribution system in rural areas and ensure quality power supply to the consumers. Under this plan, work of capacity addition of three power sub-stations and 17 power transformers and construction of infrastructure for up to 295 units of connecting / unconnecting households is being undertaken. For this, 14 crore 68 lakh 38 thousand have been released.
In the meeting held in Collectorate Auditorium, the District Magistrate informed that under the Sadbhavna Yojana, connection to the poor families of rural and urban areas is given free connection and the above poverty line families are deposited in 10 easy installments of 50 rupees. The connection is being issued by putting camps in the villages. At present, 7441 poor families in the rural areas and 13,06 of the total population of 6065 above poverty line have been benefitted. As per the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme, till now, 102739 families have been benefitted with the aim of benefitting 147394 families in the district. Chief Development Officer Badrinath Singh said that in the work of freeing the roads in the pit, all the working units have been discharged from the roads by spending a total of 1213.76 lakhs in the length of 853.751 km of 398 roads. For facilitating traffic, work on two roads under Central Road Fund is underway.
