CM Rupani’s important announcement for victims of heavy rains

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani organized a comprehensive review meeting of the state of Saurashtra-South Gujarat in the State Emergency Operation Center in Gandhinagar. In this meeting, he got complete details of roads, electricity, water supply, health, house-cashless assistance and farm land condition in affected areas.

After the review meeting, the Chief Minister gave the role of the measures taken by the media to the state and the steps taken by state government departments. The Chief Minister said that this year, on the 18th of July in the whole state, there are 3% more rain showers in the area. Last year, 42 percent of the rain water was received against 42 percent of the rain this year. The Chief Minister said that no area-taluka is not in the state which has not been completed. There are only 60 talukas of less than 5 inches of 225 talukas in the state.

Vijay Rupani added that according to the forecast of the weather department, there is possibility of widespread rainfall in North Gujarat, Central Gujarat from July 23 to 26. Now, in Saurashtra region and South Gujarat, the rainfall is declining, he said. The Chief Minister gave detailed details of the state government’s decision to provide water to the farmers in the areas where the rainfall has been reduced, from the Kadana reservoir to the water supply to the central Gujarat and other areas, through Sujalam-Sufalam filling the ponds.
