The special thing is that the new telecom policy also aims to provide fast broadband service of 40 MBPS and 5-G internet services. The goal of attracting $ 100 billion investment in the telecom sector by 2022 has been fixed. Under this policy, there is a plan to make Broadband available to all. Due to this, 40 lakh new jobs will be created in digital communication.
Under this government policy, the government wants to provide fixed line broadband to 50% of households and start a landline portability service. It is said that currently the telecom sector is submerged under debt of 7.8 lakh crore. Under the new policy, by 2020, it has also been targeted to provide 10 GBPS broadband connectivity to all Gram Panchayats of the country and 2022 by 2022.
Besides this, the commitment to bail out the pressed telecom sector under the debt burden in the draft has been expressed. For this, license fees, spectrum rates of telecom companies will be reviewed as these rates increase the cost of telecom service. The new draft also emphasizes the need to simplify the business. Soon call can be made from broadband to landline, mobile.
