India is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets in the world. A new report has found that in 2017, Indians use mobile phones in 90% of the time spent in the digital world. The report also said that Indians spend 98% of time on WhatsApp.
A data analytics company has announced through a news. According to the data shared, Indians have the highest number of online time, 89% of the time, in the phone. It has also been found that the use of overwhelming Indian smartphones spends most of the instant messaging app and social media platforms.
The top five mobile apps include whatsapp, google play store, youtube and gmail. 98% of the time spent on instant messaging app is WhatsApp on Facebook-owned WhatsApp.
The remaining 2% of the time is spent on Facebook Messenger. That is, by statistics, it is clear that Indians spend more time on Facebook. And in comparison to this, the US only gives WhatsApp 1% of the time.
Where Indians on one hand have 89% of their time on the phone, while 80% of people in Mexico and 77% of people in Argentina call the phone. The report says that last year, Indians spend 3,000 minutes or 50 hours on phones, this figure is three times more than the full time spent on desktops.
