WhatsApp can launch its own payment option first in India. The reason for this is that, there is a big base in India.
The name of the new feature can be WhatsApp Pay. Currently it is in the final tasting phase. Media reports have revealed that the company owned by Facebook has partnered with SBI, ICICI and HDFC as the bank partner of this feature.
Symbol of rupees to appear
This feature will look at the anticipated Rupees Symbol in the Attachment Option in non-partial WhatsApp chat.
Users can transfer funds through a simple one step process by using them. It will only have to transfer the amount to be transferred and UPI PIN.
Users do not have to exit the chat screen to make payments. The same way was adopted by Wechat, the Chinese compatilator of WhatsApp. Wechat launched a payment option for its users, after which the option has become a major player in the market.
So if WhatsAap launches this feature successfully, then in India it can be a big hit for other players including PTC, Mobikwek.
