UC Browser Returns To Play Store



New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS) After leaving the Google Play Store for more than a week, Alibaba’s proprietary content aggregation platform UCWeb said on Wednesday that a new version of UC Browser is now available on the Play Store.
This app was removed from the Google Play Store for allegedly data protection violations, although the company later denied it.
The company said in a statement, The new version for users is available for download on Google Play, which is in line with the strict Google Play policies.

Yong Li, head of the international trade department of the Alibaba Mobile Business Group, said, “During the absence of a short period of UC Browser on the Play Store, we continue to check its technical settings. In the meantime, we were able to see the continuous passion of users for our product, who made its mini version of UC Browser Mini the top app of the ‘free app category’ at the Play Store in the absence of the main app.
The company claims that UC Browser is the most popular app on the mobile platform with 45 percent consumer base, which is Google Chrome’s number.
UC Browser has crossed 50 million downloads on the Google Play Store.
